Salesforce

Salesforce automation for sales, service and operations teams

Salesforce automation helps mid-size and large companies get more out of an org they already pay for, by replacing manual updates, brittle legacy rules and spreadsheet handoffs with documented Flows, integrations and AI agents. We work alongside your Salesforce admins and IT team, build in your sandboxes, and hand over everything we create.

Quick answer

What is Salesforce automation?

Salesforce automation uses Flow, Apex, approval processes, integrations and AI agents such as Agentforce to create, update and route records without manual work. It covers lead routing, case handling, renewals and ERP syncs, and usually includes migrating retired Workflow Rules and Process Builder logic into Flow so the org stays supported and easier to maintain.

  • Salesforce has retired Workflow Rules and Process Builder, so legacy logic should move to Flow.
  • Agentforce agents use topics and actions built from Flows, Apex and prompt templates.
  • Good Salesforce integration starts with deciding which system owns each field.
  • Work happens in sandboxes, follows your change control and ships with documentation.

01

What is Salesforce automation?

Salesforce automation is the use of Flow, Apex, approval processes, integrations and AI features to create, update and route records without someone doing it by hand. It covers the obvious cases, such as lead assignment and opportunity updates, and the less visible ones, such as keeping account data in step with your ERP or closing the loop between a service case and a field visit.

In many orgs the automation layer has grown over a decade. Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Flows and Apex triggers often fire on the same object, and nobody is sure which one changed a field. Salesforce has retired Workflow Rules and Process Builder in favor of Flow, so part of most projects is consolidating that logic into something your team can read and maintain.

02

Salesforce Flow: migration, cleanup and new builds

Salesforce Flow is now the main declarative automation tool on the platform. We build record-triggered, scheduled and screen Flows, and we migrate legacy Workflow Rules and Process Builder automations into Flow with a clear order of execution per object.

Before building anything new, we inventory what already runs on your key objects. That usually surfaces duplicate logic, Flows that hit governor limits during data loads, and automations tied to users who left years ago.

  • One documented entry point per object where practical, with subflows for shared logic
  • Fault paths and error emails so failures are visible instead of silent
  • Bypass settings for integration users and bulk data loads
  • Changes deployed through sandboxes and your existing release process

WHAT WE BUILD

What we automate

Typical automations, each scoped and quoted at a fixed price after a free review.

01

Legacy automation migration

Workflow Rules and Process Builder logic is inventoried, consolidated and rebuilt as tested record-triggered Flows, deployed through your sandbox and release process.

02

Lead routing and enrichment

Inbound leads are matched to existing accounts, enriched, scored and assigned by territory or segment, with alerts to the owner in Slack or Teams.

03

Quote to ERP order sync

A closed-won opportunity creates the customer and sales order in NetSuite or SAP, and invoice and payment status flows back onto the Salesforce account.

04

Agentforce service agent

An agent answers routine cases from Knowledge articles, gathers missing details through Flow actions, and escalates to a human with a summary when it should.

05

Case triage with AI

New cases from email and web forms are classified by product, urgency and intent, then routed to the right queue with a suggested reply for the agent.

06

Renewal and contract alerts

Scheduled Flows flag contracts nearing renewal, create renewal opportunities and tasks, and notify account owners well before the end date.

07

Org health reporting

Pipeline, case and data quality metrics are exported to Power BI or Snowflake so leaders can see trends that standard Salesforce reports struggle to show.

03

Agentforce and AI agents in Salesforce

Agentforce is Salesforce's platform for AI agents that work inside the CRM. An agent is given topics, instructions and actions, and the actions can be Flows, Apex classes or prompt templates that read and write your Salesforce data. Typical uses are service agents that answer cases from Knowledge articles, sales development agents that qualify inbound leads, and internal agents that help reps prepare for meetings.

We help teams decide where an agent is worth the license cost and where a simpler Flow or external AI step does the job. When Agentforce fits, we design the topics and actions, connect them to your data, and set up testing and guardrails before anything reaches customers. When it does not, we can run AI steps outside Salesforce through n8n or custom Python and write results back through the API.

04

Salesforce integration with ERP, data and support tools

Most Salesforce problems are really integration problems. Sales sees one customer record, finance sees another in NetSuite or SAP, and support works in a third system. Our Salesforce integration work connects these through the REST and Bulk APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture or MuleSoft where you already run it.

We agree upfront which system owns each field, how conflicts are resolved and how failures are logged and retried. That design work matters more than the connector, because a sync that silently overwrites good data is worse than no sync at all.

05

Working as your Salesforce consultant inside enterprise IT

Larger orgs come with real constraints, and we work within them. We build in a sandbox, follow your change control and deployment tooling (change sets, Salesforce DX or a DevOps tool you already use), and write test classes and Flow tests where they apply.

We use named integration users with the least access needed, respect your SSO and permission set model, and complete vendor security reviews when your process requires them. Every Flow, Apex class and integration ships with plain documentation so your admins can support it after handover. We do not claim Salesforce partner status, and we are glad to work next to your existing implementation partner.

06

How a Salesforce automation project works and what it costs

It starts with a free review of your org, the processes you want to change and the systems around Salesforce. You receive a fixed quote and a staged plan. A first stage is often an automation audit plus one high-value fix, such as lead routing or the ERP order sync, so you see results before committing to more.

Focused projects typically take two to four weeks. Larger programs, such as a full Process Builder migration or an Agentforce rollout with several integrations, typically run six to eight weeks in stages. Cost depends on org complexity, data volume and how many systems are involved.

FAQ

Salesforce Automation questions

What is the difference between Salesforce Flow and Process Builder?

Process Builder was an older declarative tool that Salesforce has retired along with Workflow Rules. Flow is the current tool and handles record-triggered, scheduled and screen-based automation. Existing Process Builder automations should be migrated to Flow so they remain supported.

Do I need a Salesforce consultant to use Agentforce?

Not always, since Salesforce provides setup tools for agents. A consultant helps when agents need custom actions, access to data outside Salesforce, or careful testing before going live with customers. It also helps to check first whether a Flow would solve the problem more cheaply.

How do you integrate Salesforce with an ERP?

We use the Salesforce REST or Bulk APIs, Platform Events or MuleSoft on one side and the ERP's APIs on the other. The key decisions are which system owns each field, how often data syncs and how errors are retried and reported.

Can you work in our existing Salesforce org without breaking things?

Yes. We work in a sandbox, review what already fires on each object, follow your deployment process and test before release. Your admins review and approve changes before they reach production.

Are you a Salesforce partner?

No. We are an independent automation agency and do not claim Salesforce partner status. We build on standard Salesforce features and APIs and can work alongside your existing partner or internal team.

How long does a Salesforce automation project take?

A focused fix such as lead routing or one integration typically takes two to four weeks. Larger programs like a full legacy migration or Agentforce rollout typically take six to eight weeks, delivered in stages.
