Power Apps
Power Apps developer for Microsoft 365 teams
A Power Apps developer helps Microsoft 365 companies replace email chains, Excel trackers and SharePoint lists with apps people actually use. We build canvas and model-driven Power Apps, plus the Power Automate flows behind them, for US businesses that want internal tools without a custom software budget. Every project has a fixed price after a free review, and everything is built in your own Microsoft tenant.

Quick answer
What does a Power Apps developer do?
A Power Apps developer builds business apps on Microsoft's low-code Power Apps platform, along with the Power Automate flows that run approvals, emails and updates behind them. The apps typically replace email chains, Excel trackers and SharePoint lists, and they are built in your own Microsoft tenant with proper security, data models and licensing planned.
- Power Apps connects to SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, SQL Server and Dynamics 365.
- Power Automate handles approvals, emails, Teams messages and document generation after submission.
- Common pitfalls include SharePoint delegation limits, silent flow failures and premium licensing surprises.
- A focused app typically ships in two to four weeks; larger solutions in four to eight.

What is Microsoft Power Apps?
Power Apps is Microsoft's low-code platform for building business apps. It connects to SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, SQL Server, Dynamics 365 and hundreds of other services through connectors.
Apps can run in a browser, on phones and tablets, or inside Microsoft Teams. Because Power Apps is part of the Power Platform, it works closely with Power Automate for workflows and Power BI for reporting.
- Canvas apps: screen-by-screen apps with full control over layout, good for forms, field work and simple portals
- Model-driven apps: built on Dataverse tables, good for case management and records with many related entities
- Power Pages: external portals for customers or partners when staff-only apps are not enough

Power Apps development services we offer
Our Power Apps development services cover the full build: data model, app screens, security, automation and rollout. Most projects replace a process that currently lives in someone's inbox or a shared spreadsheet.
We start with how the work actually flows, who submits, who approves, who needs to know, and design the app around that rather than around a template.
- Request and approval apps for purchasing, IT, HR and facilities
- Field service and inspection apps with photos, signatures and location
- Asset, equipment and inventory tracking
- Project intake and status tracking in Teams
- Customer or vendor onboarding with document checklists
- Migration of Access databases and InfoPath forms to Power Apps
WHAT WE BUILD
What we automate
Typical automations, each scoped and quoted at a fixed price after a free review.
Multi-step approvals
A request submitted in Power Apps triggers a Power Automate approval to the right manager in Teams or Outlook, with escalation if nobody responds within a set time.
Document generation
When a record is approved, a flow fills a Word template with the app data, saves it as PDF to SharePoint and emails it to the requester.
New hire onboarding
HR adds a new starter in the app, and flows create tasks for IT, facilities and the manager, then post a checklist to a Teams channel.
Invoice and form intake
Emailed invoices or forms are read with AI Builder, key fields are extracted into Dataverse, and exceptions are routed to a person for review.
Inspection follow-ups
Failed items in a field inspection app automatically create corrective-action tasks with due dates and owners.
Weekly status reports
A scheduled flow pulls open items from SharePoint or Dataverse and sends each manager a summary of what is overdue.
03
Power Automate: the workflows behind the app
An app is only half the value. Power Automate handles what happens after someone taps submit, such as approvals, emails, Teams messages, document generation and updates to other systems.
We build cloud flows for event-driven work and scheduled flows for daily or weekly jobs. Where a desktop system has no API, Power Automate Desktop can run attended or unattended robotic steps. When a process needs AI, we can add document reading or text classification with AI Builder or Azure OpenAI.

Why work with a Power Apps consultant
Power Platform is easy to start and easy to outgrow. Common problems include SharePoint lists hitting delegation limits, flows that fail silently, apps built under one person's account, and licensing surprises when premium connectors are used.
A Power Apps consultant plans for these from day one. We pick the right data source for your volume, design for delegation, set up solutions and environments so apps can move from test to production, and make sure ownership sits with a service account rather than one employee.
05
Power Apps vs AppSheet vs custom code
If your company runs on Microsoft 365, Power Apps is usually the natural fit because your users, files and security groups are already there. If you run on Google Workspace, AppSheet is often faster and cheaper, and we build both.
Custom code is the right answer for public-facing products or heavy logic at scale. For internal tools used by staff, Power Apps typically delivers faster and is easier for your own team to maintain.
06
Cost, timeline and how to get started
We start with a free review of your process, data and licensing. You then get a written scope and a fixed price. A focused app with its core flows typically ships in 2-4 weeks, and larger multi-app solutions are delivered in stages over 4-8 weeks.
Microsoft licensing is separate and depends on which connectors and data sources the app needs. Standard connectors are covered by many Microsoft 365 plans, while premium connectors and Dataverse need Power Apps licenses. We flag licensing costs during the review so there are no surprises later.

FAQ
Power Apps Development questions
How much does a Power Apps developer cost?
We quote a fixed price after a free review rather than billing hourly. The price depends on the number of screens, data sources, flows and user roles. Microsoft licenses are billed separately by Microsoft.
Do I need a premium Power Apps license?
Not always. Apps that use SharePoint, Excel and other standard connectors are often covered by Microsoft 365 plans. Dataverse, SQL Server and premium connectors need Power Apps licenses, and we tell you which applies before the build starts.
What is the difference between Power Apps and Power Automate?
Power Apps is the interface people use to enter and view data. Power Automate runs the workflows in the background, such as approvals, emails and updates to other systems. Most projects use both together.
Can Power Apps replace our Access database?
In many cases, yes. We move the data to Dataverse or SQL, rebuild the forms as a Power App, and recreate reports in Power BI. The result works in a browser and on phones, not just on one desktop.
Can you fix a Power App someone else built?
Yes. We review the app, flows and data source, then fix delegation issues, broken flows and ownership problems. Often the first step is moving the app into a proper solution under a service account.
Who owns the app after the project?
You do. Everything is built in your Microsoft tenant, under accounts you control. We provide documentation and a handover session for your team.
